Parkour in Schools
Play based physical education for school curricula and after school clubs
Teacher Education
Access Parkour have had the most extensive schools program in the UK for over a decade. We are based in Edinburgh, but have worked in the Lothians, Dundee, Stirling, Aberdeen, as well as travelling to deliver across the UK and Ireland.
Along with our huge experience with direct delivery, we have developed online and in-person opportunities for Teacher Education. Our world class coaches regularly travel to local communities to provide bespoke experiences based on their individual needs.
That may be a full day of delivering introductory parkour to an entire village in the Scottish borders; Or a week touring the Orkney Islands working with children during the day and the teaching staff in the evenings; It could involve a short introductory weekend of local community engagement in Limerick, Ireland or regular trips to Aberdeen helping kickstart community classes.
Access Parkour focus on delivering what is best for your community, helping introduce safe, fun and effective parkour embedded in the local community.
Pricing
A standard Teacher Training workshop for up to 12 participants would normally cost £1200 + travel. But contact us for bespoke pricing.
For Direct Delivery, where we teach parkour directly to school kids, check out our Workshops page.
What to Expect
Our Teacher Education program ‘Risk and Play through the lens of Parkour’ aims to give teachers the tools they need to facilitate parkour-style play in the playground.
It is designed for :
Primary school teachers who want further guidance on how to facilitate movement games and play in the playground.
Teaching assistants who want more confidence analysing risk in the playground.
P.E. specialists who wish to utilise parkour in their lessons.
P.E. teachers considering becoming fully qualified to teach parkour.
The 8-hour program is best delivered over the course of one day in a school. However, it can also take place at our purpose-built facility Room To Move in Edinburgh.
